VIP · NEW

Henrique designs it. We do the running around.

Henrique is Funte's partner and lead designer, and a million people follow his work at @henriq.arq. On VIP he designs your room himself and stays in it the whole way through. Everything that normally lands on you lands on us instead.

VIP is new. The studio isn't, and neither is Henrique.

See rooms we've drawn

A children's room Henrique designed: a climbing wall of pale panels with grey and black holds along one side, a knotted rope hanging from ceiling hooks, a low daybed with cushions and soft toys at its foot, and a loft to the right behind a slatted screen with a round black framed window and a reading sofa tucked underneath.

What you don't do

On every other package we hand you a shopping list and you take it from there. On VIP nobody sends you a list.

You don't compare suppliers, place orders, chase deliveries or go looking for a contractor. When the work starts on site, the questions come to us.

You approve what you like. We keep you posted. The rest happens.

Everything in Premium, and then

  • Henrique designs it himself, start to finish

  • As many 1:1 meetings with him as you need, and five rounds of revisions

  • We do the buying. Every order placed, tracked and chased

  • Deliveries and vendors coordinated, so the questions come to us instead of to you

  • We help you find a contractor, and we coordinate with them while the work happens

  • We can come for the last stretch, to help coordinate the end of the build and get the room set up. You cover our time and travel, and we'll quote it before anything is booked

  • 90 days of support after everything lands, against Premium's 60

What it costs

What a VIP project costs, by the size of the room.
Small roomup to 15m² (160 sq ft) $10,000 USD
Medium roomup to 25m² (270 sq ft) $16,000 USD
Large roomup to 35m² (375 sq ft) $24,000 USD
Larger than 35m² (375 sq ft) Ask us

That's the design fee. The furniture, the accessories and the custom built pieces are separate: you see every piece and every price, and nothing is bought until you say so.

How long it takes

About eight to ten months, start to finish, when answers come back quickly.

That's design, sourcing, deliveries and installation, not just the drawings. If replies take weeks rather than days it runs longer, which is worth knowing before you start rather than after.

The founding rate

A reading nook set into pale wood: a grey sofa under a lit alcove, a knotted rope net to one side, and a loft above it behind vertical slats, with picture books face out on low shelves and a round black framed window.

The first three buyers get a founding rate: half price, so $5,000, $8,000 or $12,000 depending on the size of the room.

These are the first three we'll take on, and we'd rather say that than pretend there's a queue. In exchange we photograph the finished room and ask you what we could do better. It's a first for us too, so we're asking for a little patience while we learn with you.

That means being ready to build it as it's drawn. We're looking for three families who want the room they've been shown, and who are happy to let us photograph it.

After that it's the full price. Henrique leads every VIP room himself, so there are only ever a few each season.

Tell us about the room and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit.
